Breakdown of an Active Review Packet
After you open your assigned review packet from either the "Home" or "Your Packets" screen in Interfolio it will default into "Overview Mode".
There are several functions available while in "Overview Mode", which might be helpful when you are starting a new review, such as:
- The ability to View the Packet Instructions
- The ability to Preview the packet before submission
-
*Most Importantly, the ability to put your packet in "Edit" mode to start adding materials
- This can be done by clicking either "packet" or "edit"
Materials can only be added to sections within an Active Review Packet when the packet is in "Edit" Mode
As you have been working on your packet, do you notice a difference between the circles in the review packet sections?
A completely green circle means that the minimum number of required documents has been uploaded to this review packet section
A half-green, half-gray circle means that either nothing has been uploaded to this section or the minimum number of required documents has not been met

Tips for making uploading your documents easier
- Have all your documents downloaded, stored, and organized BEFORE you start uploading
- Upload documents in small batches
Uploading in small batches is particularly useful for SOQ data, so if files need to be rearranged they are in a manageable load
- Upload your documents to your active Interfolio Review packet well in advance of the submission deadline.
- The Interfolio platform has an automatic save function built-in
Documents larger than 100MB will not upload to Interfolio, make sure your documents are optimized for size or split them into smaller documents.
Documents are uploaded into the Interfolio platform by order of File SIZE, NOT File NAME.
- The smallest documents will be uploaded first and the largest last
MP3 and MP4 files are NOT supported by the Interfolio Platform
- Video files can be submitted for evaluation, but they must be uploaded as web links to videos hosted on YouTube or Vimeo

In addition to uploading traditional document types such as Word Docs, PowerPoints, PDFs, etc., Interfolio also allows you to upload other digital content to your review packet in the form of links to web pages and videos hosted on YouTube and Vimeo.
The process for adding videos and web pages is very similar to adding single documents from your personal document storage. The "edit' and "remove" tools can be used with these types of digital content as well.
Links to web pages can only be added one at time.
Also, do not provide any links to web pages that would require your evaluators to input a separate username and password to view the content on the provided web page. Mostly likely they won't have it.

Adding Documents from Dossier

Dossier functions as a cloud-based digital safe that you can use to store, arrange, and edit documents for current and future reviews.
It is accessed by using your CSUF credentials and no one can see or access what is stored there unless you grant permission or submit the materials through an active review packet. Click here, to view a more in-depth article on how to use Dossier for Evaluations.
As a New User to Interfolio you can utilize a tool on the Interfolio Retention, Promotion, and Tenure platform to add documents to your review packet from Dossier. The tool is called "collections".
Using "collections" will require you to do some prep work in the Dossier application beforehand, the tool will be useless without it, and it is encouraged that you read the article linked above.

There are several tools built into the Interfolio platform that that help and speed up the document uploading process. "Collections"especially, is great for New Interfolio users.
